Lightroom’s new RAW converter also includes a “HDR tone sliders” feature that you can use to fine-tune the tonal approach of an image that was captured in High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. I’ve found the most success with the 8-bit values that are available in the current version of Lightroom.
The Slice tool is a much-needed addition to Photoshop, but it’s clearest use is as a compositing tool. It’s actually borderline useless unless the user is planning to apply a mask or layering the final image back on the composited layer.
