Virtual keyboard macros for Winamp.
Flexible, easy to use, with macros.
Features:
￭ A can be used to bind arbitrary keys or macros (macros can be set to any length, up to a user-defined maximum)
￭ A can be assigned to any button on your phone, making it easy to use your phone as a remote to control the Winamp player.
￭ A can also control the play/pause/stop/forward/backward buttons, the track volume, and the seekbar of Winamp.
￭ Uses standard Nokia 3310 keys; no physical modification of the phone is required
￭ Installation is easy, since the macros are loaded directly into the Winamp player
The macros are loaded into the player using a standard virtual keyboard. However, this means that macros can only be loaded while the player is open; macros loaded while the player is closed will remain inactive.
This is not a problem, since macros are usually loaded for use when the player is open anyway (ie when you want to use it to control the player).
Installation:
1. Install “Virtual Keyboard” from the Symbian Store
2. Install “Macro” from the Symbian Store
3. Now click “Settings” on the virtual keyboard, and click “Macros”
4. Click the “Add” button to add the macro. The name of the macro should be something like:
“Bemused”, then the keyname for the macro, then the macro definition.
For example, to define a key (such as “5”) that will show the next track, you would type “Bemused”, then “5”, then “Next Track”.
Using the macro:
1. Connect your phone to the PC, using USB or Bluetooth.
2. Press the key on your phone to trigger the macro. The Winamp player will then automatically start playing the next track.
3. Once you have finished listening to the next track, click “7” to return to your playlist.
4. Repeat this process as required.
The macros will function when the player is in focus, not just when it is open.

The Bemused application runs on a Series 60 or UIQ phone, and can control most of the common music players on the PC.

The BEEMUSE-for-PC software enables the user to connect to the BEEMUSE application running on a Series 60 phone, and control it using the PC software.
The BEEMUSE-for-PC application will need to be installed on the user’s PC in order to control the application running on the phone.
A PC with Bluetooth on board will be required to use the software.

What’s New In Bemused?

Bemused is a software that will allow you to control your music collection from your phone, using Bluetooth.
Bemused requires a Series 60 or UIQ phone (e.g. Nokia 7650/3650, or Sony Ericsson P800/P900), and a PC with a Bluetooth adapter.
Bemused can control your PC using Bluetooth, infra-red, USB or GPRS. To use infra-red or USB, you must have PC Suite running on your PC. Also, in this case the connection must be initiated from the PC.
The Bemused server on your PC doesn’t require any installation; it consists of a single EXE which can be run from anywhere. It will create an INI file in the same directory that it’s run from.
The Bemused application for your phone is a standard SIS file which should be sent to your phone and installed.
Note: Bemused does not support the Sony Ericsson T610, and will not do so in the future. Bemused only runs on phones based on Symbian OS.
